NAMI Abilene is committed to providing education, advocacy and support to those who experience mental illness, their families, and friends.

We offer no-cost education, support, and awareness for people living with mental illness and their families in the Abilene area.

Education and Support

• NAMI Family-to-Family Education Program – a 12-week, 2 1/2 hour free education course for family members, caregivers, friends, and significant others of a loved one with mental illness.
• NAMI Basics - a 6-week education program for parents and family caregivers of children and teens who are experiencing symptoms of a mental illness or whom have already been diagnosed. NAMI Basics is offered in a group setting so you can connect with other people face-to-face. (coming soon)
  
• NAMI Connection Peer Support Group – a support group for individuals working on recovery with mental illness. Free. No registration required.
• NAMI Family Support Group – a support group evening for family members of individuals living with mental illness. Free. No registration required.

General Meetings

NAMI Abilene holds general meetings on the First Tuesdays of the month at 6 p.m. at the Grace Fellowship Church, 910 Cypress Street, Abilene.
These meetings are open to the community and will feature informative speakers.

Your donations will help NAMI Abilene provide no-cost education, support, and advocacy for people living with mental illness and their families in the Abilene area.
